At Monson Jewelers, we offer custom jewelry design services in Palatine, Illinois, so your jewelry will reflect your unique style and individual taste. Here’s how the service works.
1. Custom Quote
The process begins with discussing your vision and budget. In this initial discussion, we will provide a quote based on your customization. Bring photos of jewelry that inspires you, so that we can get a better idea of the customization that you desire to make.
2. Select the Setting
Custom jewelry designs begin with evaluating the setting, whether it be for an engagement ring, a pair of earrings, or a pendant. We will work with you to create a new look in 14 or 18 white or yellow gold. If you have old jewelry, we can assess the setting and its capacity for redesign and customization. If you desire to start from scratch, we can create the setting that you envision for your customized jewelry.
3. Select the Gem Stones
After the setting has been designed, the stones and their placement are selected. If you were redesigning using old jewelry, we can utilize the stones from these pieces in most situations. If you’re designing from scratch, you can select the stones, the sizes, and shapes that will be included in your custom jewelry. It is important to remember that the setting must be designed to accommodate the stones. Our staff can help you select the perfect stones for your design.
4. Approve
Before creating the finalized piece, we will ask that you approve the draft of the design. Upon your final approval, our team will cast your custom design. Your gemstones are then meticulously set by our expert craftsmen.
